These days i can sleep well in early mornings. Until a few days back, the roaring of fighter jets on a regular and short period were like the unpleasant alarm.
As i have been leaving in the Island nation of Sri Lanka since last 20 months, i have realized that the number of trips by various fighter jets have increased from the air force base in Colombo to North of the country. It is inversely proportional to the power of LTTE; one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations of the world today. But at the same time its directly proportional to the increasing number of Homeless, orphans, widows and poor in North of Sri Lanka.
In the war of two armies- first superior in number and the other superior in dedication, courage and cause- perhaps the higher numbers will win.
But it will leave the wounds more deep and open, races will become more brutal against each other and perhaps the institutional bodies will keep suffering the devastation unless either everybody who feel isolated; dies, has been killed or is as powerless as the injured buffalo in scarce of enough strength to even move its tail.
The ghost of V. Prabhakaran and his tigers will keep coming in the dreams of Mahinda Rajapaksha Honorable President of the democratically elected government of Sri Lanka.
I hope that he values the sacrifices of Sinhalese civilians and does justice with the Tamils of north.
